We have multiple no cost offerings, hosted online and at our welcoming and accessible space at 6 Rockridge Avenue, Penrose.

OFFERINGS
Rest Workshops
Immerse in imagination and explore how creativity and connection can be restful. Our facilitator will offer prompts, guidance and support, with a variety of options responsive to your needs. Pacing is woven into the design of the day, with time for collaborative community-making, individual creative expression, and soothing rest practices. No prior artistic experience or skills needed.

When?
Tuesday’s: Emerald group 10:45am to 2:15pm
Wednesday’s: Magenta group 10:45am to 2:15pm
Weekly, from May 19th to July 9th.
Schedule
10:45am Arrive, settle in, our facilitator can make you a hot or cold drink.
10:50am - 12:00pm Session one, with mini-breaks throughout.
12:00pm - 12:40pm Lunch break: you are welcome to use our fridge/microwave or head out to a local spot for some kai. Stay in the space or relax in the garden for some fresh air.
12:40 - 2:15pm Session two, with mini-breaks throughout.
If you are unsure about managing the day, or have a conflicting appointment, you are welcome to sign up for just the morning or afternoon session, to ease in and see how you find it.
What to expect?
Options to engage responsive to how you’re feeling on the day - more or less spoons, it’s all ok.
Freedom to choose where you’d like to be in our large adaptable space. Sit, lie or move - floor cushions, comfy wheely chairs and couch options.
Small groups of up to 12 people - with low pressure prompts to engage and also time in the day for social-breaks as needed.

Rest and Imagination - Online
Immerse in comfort, replenishment and imagination. Our facilitator will guide you through rest practices with a variety of options responsive to your needs. Join from the comfort of your own space.

Wednesday’s 2:45pm - 3:15pm
Weekly, from May 19th to July 9th.
What to expect?
30 minute sessions.
Offered through Google Meet, you are welcome to leave your camera on or off.
Feel free to lie down, move around or change position throughout - whatever is good for you!
Mindfulness, that is, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed and sensory aware - you don’t have to sit still and clear your mind or focus on bodily sensations.
Explore a natural object through prompts that engage different senses, and draw into imagination.
Each session ends with the reading of a poem.
